BUBA Scholar Program

At BUBA, we believe education and athletics are not separate paths—they’re parallel ones. Through the BUBA Scholars Program, we honor youth athletes who demonstrate excellence on and off the field—showing commitment to training, leadership, service, and personal growth.

Each Scholar receives a $1,500 annual scholarship and free membership to The Diamond Collective, Baltimore’s premier development and leadership facility. This includes access to exclusive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and service-learning experiences that prepare them to succeed in school, in sport, and in life.

01

Service & Community Engagement

At BUBA, we believe leadership starts with service. Our Scholars take part in community projects that not only strengthen Baltimore neighborhoods but also teach responsibility, teamwork, and the power of giving back. From local clean-ups to service events, Scholars learn that true champions lead both on and off the field.

Mentorship &
Peer Leadership

BUBA’s layered mentorship model creates a cycle of leadership and support. College athletes guide our high school Scholars, while those high schoolers mentor and inspire younger players in our programs. This structure builds confidence, accountability, and a culture of paying it forward—ensuring every Scholar has both a role model and the chance to be one.

03

Professional & Life Skills

Beyond the game, BUBA equips Scholars with the skills needed for long-term success. Through workshops in public speaking, financial literacy, college preparation, and career exploration, Scholars gain the tools to thrive in school, in future careers, and in life. We prepare them not only to play the game, but to lead in any arena they choose
